ABOUT ME

I live to find the bigger stories that lie within the smaller details – how the contrasts, the contradictions, the creativity allow the unexpected to flow into my work.

There’s so much that’s expected of me as a photographer, people have their own ideas about what I should be like, alot is assumed, but that’s not really me. All I want to do is to know you in a way that allows me to picture your walls, in your house, for the next fifty years as you grow together, and to place the perfect photograph in that space to remind you every day of your story.

My photographs show how I relate to the world – they’re candid, honest, fearless and warm; and they always manage to find the amazing in everyone.

I relish in the agony and ecstasy of imagining and creating contrasts to play with in my images. I secretly enjoy the rush that comes with the fear of pushing boundaries as far as they can be moved.

I am always looking for inspiration. Sometimes a new location,  or a breath taking landscape.  I have been extremely fortunate to have photographed weddings all over the world. Including Greece, Italy, London, Oxford UK, Fiji and Singapore. But ultimately it’s people that drive my work, opening my eyes to something new all the time.This approach to my craft has allowed me to be recognised for a number of photography and industry awards including…

WEDDINGS

Everyone’s been to a wedding (I’ve been to hundreds!) and we all know how things are going to happen, what to do when, there are traditions at play, but there are also routines.

Sometimes these moments are wonderful, the first kiss for example, but sometimes they’re like wedding tofu – bland, beige, no surprises, predictable.

I don’t really do predictable or what people expect. Instead, I set out to capture your story (without sounding corny). I don’t do this by taking the anticipated path. Instead, like your partnership, I take the path that is right for you, so that the story is about you, is centered around you and gives you a collection of memories that will be unlike any other.

Compare how the world expects things to be, versus how you want the world to really see you.
